Panamá: evolución económica durante 2010 y perspectivas para 2011

Abstract

En 2010 la economía panameña se expandió 7,5% y continuó con las altas tasas de crecimiento que la han caracterizado desde 2004 y que fueron interrumpidas en 2009 (3,2%) por la crisis financiera internacional. El sector público no financiero (SPNF) registró un déficit equivalente a 1,9% del PIB, en comparación con el 1% de 2009. La cuenta corriente tuvo un déficit de 11,2% del PIB frente al del balance de cero en 2009. La tasa de inflación llegó a 4,9%, para así alcanzar niveles históricos.
