Abstract

Este documento contiene las estadísticas de la industria petrolera de los países del Istmo Centroamericano con datos actualizados a 2008, constituye una publicación anual elaborada por la Sede Subregional en México de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL).La base de datos a partir de la cual se realizó esta publicación fue instalada originalmente en el marco de un convenio de cooperación técnica entre la CEPAL y el Gobierno de la República Federal de Alemania, por medio de la Agencia GTZ, el cual finalizó en el año 2003. Dicha base se mantiene permanentemente actualizada por la Unidad de Energía y Recursos Naturales de esta Sede Subregional, y ha servido para la publicación anual de estos estadísticos, durante los últimos veinticinco años.El informe consta de cinco grupos de cuadros: el primero corresponde al valor de las importaciones y precios; el segundo a los balances de petróleo y derivados; el tercero al consumo interno de derivados de petróleo; el cuarto a la procedencia de las importaciones y la capacidad de almacenamiento; y el quinto y último, a la estructura de los mercados.
