Nicaragua: evolución económica durante 2006 y perspectivas para 2007

Abstract

Rasgos generales de la evolución recienteEn 2006 el crecimiento de la economía nicaragüense experimentó una ligera desaceleración. El producto interno bruto (PIB) real se incrementó 3,7%, impulsado por el avance de las exportaciones (10,5%). En cambio, la demanda interna (2,8%) mostró una pérdida de dinamismo de un punto porcentual debido a la contracción de la inversión pública, que fue compensada en parte por el mayor consumo, especialmente público. El clima de incertidumbre generado por las crecientes tensiones políticas en una coyuntura dominada por las elecciones presidenciales de noviembre moderó el aumento de la inversión y del consumo del sector privado.
