Familia y solidaridad intergeneracional: escenarios futuros en políticas de vejez en Panamá

Abstract

En este documento se presentan los resultados de la investigación realizada en Panamá por el Centro Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Demografía (CELADE) - División de Población de la CEPAL, en el marco del proyecto “Seguimiento de los acuerdos de la Conferencia Regional Intergubernamental sobre Envejecimiento, Santiago 2003”, financiado por la Cooperación Italiana y la Oficina del Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas en Panamá. El propósito de esta investigación es entregar herramientas para incrementar la efectividad de la toma decisiones sobre las políticas dirigidas a las personas de edad que se desarrollan en el país. Los temas tratados en el estudio están directamente relacionados con la aplicación nacional de la Estrategia Regional de Implementación para América Latina y el Caribe del Plan de Acción Internacional de Madrid sobre el Envejecimiento, y las principales áreas de políticas abordadas son: seguridad económica, salud y entornos.
