La relación de intercambio de los productos primarios de América Latina y el Caribe = Terms of trade of primary commodities in Latin America and the Caribbean

Abstract

Examina la tendencia a deteriorarse que presenta en el largo plazo la relacion de intercambio de los productos primarios de los paises de la region, basandose en presentaciones estadisticas y graficas. Postula que en estos resultados desfavorables han intervenido factores estructurales y de mediano y corto plazo que han afectado negativamente los precios de estos productos; y que los gobiernos tendran que abordar cuestiones relacionadas con el aumento del valor retenido de las exportaciones de productos primarios, aumentando el nivel de elaboracion y controlando la comercializacion y la distribucion de los mismos, y deberan tratar de conseguir acceso a los mercados de otros paises en desarrollo y concretar asi el concepto de la cooperacion Sur-Sur.
