Abstract

Postula la hipótesis que el proceso cultural es un ingrediente primordial en el proceso de desarrollo y que debe ser incluido en los planes nacionales, ya que la inefectividad de las estrategias de desarrollo en el período post-Independencia han fallado en proveer una identidad y cultura nacional positiva, lo cual se evidencia y refleja en la alienación y desorientación de la juventud de las sociedades del Caribe de habla inglesa, problemas que analiza considerando aspectos del desempleo, turismo, educación, salud, vivienda, familia y cultura.
