Abstract

Contiene un estudio historico-sociologico del cooperativismo en el Uruguay. Abarca todos los tipos de cooperativas y para cada uno de ellos, reconstruye su proceso historico; examina su estructura y sus modalidades de operacion; define su significacion cuantitativa; y evalua sus resultados desde los puntos de vista de su eficiencia economica, de los beneficios sociales que otorga y de los niveles de participacion de sus miembros.
