Comercio internacional de servicios: el caso de América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

Constituye una primera aproximación al tema en lo que concierne a su dimensión regional. En el primer capítulo describe aquellos aspectos referentes a la toxonomía de los servicios, examinando algunos estudios que ya se han hecho sobre el sector, refiriéndose también a algunas de las clasificaciones más usadas para comparaciones internacionales en la materia. En el capítulo segundo pretende ilustrar la importancia del sector en el contexto de la economía mundial. El tercer capítulo aborda en mayor detalle los mismos aspectos pero desde una perspectiva regional, para en el último capítulo hacer apreciaciones respecto a eventuales negociaciones internacionales sobre el tema, sugiriéndose algunas materias que podrían explorarse en mayor detalle en futuros trabajos sobre los servicios.
