Policies and negotiations with transnational corporations in the copper industry in Peru

Abstract

Su objetivo es examinar y evaluar las políticas y negociaciones gubernamentales con las empresas transnacionales, en la industria explotadora del cobre en el Perú y la resultante distribución de beneficios entre ambas partes. Analiza la importancia de la actividad minera dentro de la economía peruana; el marco jurídico político que orientó la negociación y contratación minera a partir de la década del 50 y la comercialización del cobre. Compara la situación existente antes de la intervención empresarial del Estado con la situación actual.
