Analisis de la encuesta de visitas repetidas EDENIC 1976-1978: fecundidad y nupcialidad en Nicaragua

Abstract

Entre diciembre de 1976 y marzo de 1978, se realizo la encuesta demografica de Nicaragua (EDENIC). Se analizan los datos obtenidos en la parte prospectiva de la EDENIC respecto a la fecundidad, a fin de obtener una estimacion de la fecundidad general y diferencial en Nicaragua. Para tener una idea del contexto de la fecundidad en Nicaragua, se examina la fecundidad general y diferencial en America Latina. Tambien se describe el metodo usado en la encuesta, y se entregan algunas caracteristicas de la poblacion enumerada. El analisis de la fecundidad general y diferencial en Nicaragua se efectua segun la residencia urbana y rural de las mujeres. Se presenta un analisis de la nupcialidad en Nicaragua y la fecundidad diferencial segun el estado conyugal de la mujer. Por ultimo, se trata la fecundidad diferencial segun algunas categorias socioeconomicas en que se clasifico la poblacion, y la fecundidad diferencial segun regiones en que se dividio al pais.
