Desequilibrios regionales, migraciones internas y metropolizacion en America Latina: una investigacion comparativa

Abstract

Para la investigacion se dispondra de los datos censales, encuestas, trabajos de campo y documentos oficiales, referidos principalmente a los ultimos 25 anos. Se pretende predecir los efectos que puede tener la modificacion de los factores determinantes sobre las migraciones y la metropolizacion. El proyecto integrara los procesos demograficos dentro de su contexto historico y estructural y considerara los desequilibrios regionales y sectoriales especialmente en relacion a las oportunidades de empleo, niveles de vida, oportunidades de movilidad social, factores culturales y psicosociales y caracteristicas de las redes urbanas preexistentes. En lo metodologico, la investigacion debera resolver previamente los criterios de seleccion de los paises a estudiarse, la cobertura espacial, social y temporal de cada uno, las fuentes de datos a recolectar y las formas de combinacion de los analisis de distinto tipo y nivel.
