El progreso técnico en los países desarrollados y sus efectos sobre la demanda de productos básicos latinoamericanos

Abstract

Analiza uno de los factores determinantes que inciden en la oferta, demanda, producción y mecanismo de precios de productos básicos en el largo plazo, y que es la introducción acelerada de progreso técnico en gran cantidad de sectores industriales y de servicios con una participación cada vez mayor de los países altamente industrializados y con resultados para América Latina bastante negativos en términos de debilitar su posición en el comercio internacional, desvalorizando sus bienes de exportación con bajo contenido tecnológico, y perder parte de sus ventajas comparativas tradicionales.
