Abstract

Especialmente disenado para estudiantes de los cursos de analisis demografico de CELADE-San Jose, el documento senala como pasos previos al desarrollo de la investigacion: a).seleccion de un tema de interes demografico de caracter teorico o practico y referido a fenomenos como fecundidad, mortalidad, etc.; b).determinacion del objetivo del estudio, el que debe permitir la aplicacion de los conocimientos adquiridos a traves de la prueba de hipotesis o del uso de metodos y tecnicas demograficas o mediante la descripcion del estado de una poblacion; c).consideracion del material disponible y del metodo a utilizar. La revision bibliografica permite elaborar el plan definitivo de trabajo que debe incluir 6 puntos: objetivos, informacion basica y sus limitaciones, determinacion del nivel del fenomeno estudiado y los metodos utilizados, determinacion de los diferenciales, conclusiones y referencias bibliograficas. Se incluyen indicaciones detalladas sobre estilo, presentacion de citas, cuadros y graficos
