Abstract

El principal valor de la tabla de vida consiste en la forma de establecer los riesgos de muerte por edades especificas. Lo fundamental para su construccion es la conversion de las tasas especificas de mortalidad observadas para un periodo, en probabilidades de muerte dentro de los intervalos de edad establecidos, los que en este estudio son de 5 o 10 anos, lo cual le da un caracter abreviado. Se incluyen formulas para obtener las funciones de la tabla de mortalidad, enumerando los pasos necesarios para su construccion
