Abstract

El documento presenta una revisión de las principales escuelas de la planificación del desarrollo, aplicadas a nivel territorial en América Latina y el Caribe. El trabajo busca establecer una relación entre el papel del Estado y las corrientes metodológicas que se han presentado a lo largo del tiempo, principalmente entendiéndolas como una respuesta a la creciente complejidad, tanto temática como procedimental, en que el sector público busca impulsar los procesos de desarrollo a nivel subnacional. Se hace una revisión de un conjunto de herramientas y metodologías que han tenido impacto dentro de la región y en las cuales la CEPAL ha tenido relación con su concepción teórica o aplicación práctica.
