Abstract

El presente Boletín Demográfico tiene como objetivo publicar los resultados de las proyecciones de población por área de residencia urbano-rural de cada uno de los países latinoamericanos y de la región en su conjunto. Estas proyecciones corresponden a una versión actualizada de las ya existentes y publicadas por CELADE en el Boletín Demográfico N* 34 de julio de 1984. La información por país se presenta en intervalos de cinco años para el período 1970-2000 y desagregada por sexo y grupos quinquenales de edad. Además de la población en valores absolutos, cada cuadro contiene los porcentajes urbanos e indicadores demográficos de la población urbana y rural que complementan la información de la proyección.
