Abstract

El Tercer Foro sobre Defensoras y Defensores de Derechos Humanos en Asuntos Ambientales en América Latina y el Caribe se realizó en Basseterre entre los días 7 a 10 de abril de 2025. El Foro fue convocado por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), en su calidad de Secretaría del Acuerdo de Escazú, en alianza con el Gobierno de Saint Kitts y Nevis, el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA), el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD), la Oficina del Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos (ACNUDH), y la Entidad de las Naciones Unidas para la Igualdad de Género y el Empoderamiento de las Mujeres (ONU Mujeres). El presente documento contiene el informe oficial del Tercer Foro, el cual resume los distintos paneles, diálogos y presentaciones. Asimismo, incluye el programa de implementación del Plan de Acción sobre Defensoras y Defensoras de los Derechos Humanos en Asuntos Ambientales en América Latina y el Caribe del Acuerdo de Escazú elaborado por los coordinadores del grupo de trabajo ad hoc y una sistematización de aportes recogidos en las mesas de trabajo sobre transversalización de la perspectiva de género en la implementación del Acuerdo de Escazú.
