Abstract

Los artículos reunidos en este volumen se basan en las ponencias presentadas por los expertos que participaron en el seminario regional “Agricultura y cambio climático: Del diagnóstico a la práctica”, realizado en la sede de la CEPAL, (Santiago, 23 de noviembre de 2011), organizado conjuntamente por la CEPAL y la FAO, así como en la jornada de capacitación realizada el día 24 de noviembre en la sede de la Oficina Regional para América Latina de la FAO. En la primera versión de este seminario regional “Agricultura y cambio climático: instituciones, políticas e innovación” se cubrieron temas de impactos, marcos institucionales y de políticas y aspectos de innovación para abordar el cambio climático en la agricultura. En esta segunda versión del seminario, se buscó contribuir al debate sobre lo que implica transitar hacia una agricultura más baja en carbono, y más resiliente frente al cambio climático. Para ello se presentaron casos concretos, tanto en el sector público como en el privado, pues en ese desafío la acción concertada es fundamental. De allí que el lema del encuentro fuera “del diagnóstico a la práctica”.
