Abstract

Resumen Esta publicación contiene los resúmenes de los trabajos presentados en la Reunión de Expertos en Redes de Apoyo Social de las Personas Mayores: el rol del Estado, la familia y la comunidad,realizada por el Centro Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Demografía (CELADE);-División de Población de la CEPAL, entre el 9 y el 12 de diciembre de 2002. Esta reunión forma parte del proceso de seguimiento regional de la Segunda Asamblea Mundial sobre el Envejecimiento realizada en Madrid, España, en abril de 2002, y sus resultados servirán de insumos para una cosntruir una Estrategia de Implementación Regional para América Latina y el Caribe del Plan de Acción Internacional de Madrid sobre el Envejecimiento. En este documento los trabajos se organizan de acuerdo a las temáticas abordadas en las sesiones de la reunión, y se presenta además, una síntesis de los elementos destacados del debate realizado en los espacios de discusión de la misma. Esta publicación ha sido posible gracias a la contribución financiera de la Cooperación Italiana y el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas.
