Abstract

El presente documento contiene los principales resultados del Seminario Regional “La inclusión de pueblos indígenas y afrodescendientes en los sistemas de información en salud en el marco de la pandemia por COVID-19”, realizado de manera virtual entre los días 8 y 9 de septiembre de 2021. El evento fue organizado por el Centro Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Demografía (CELADE)-División de Población de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS) y el Fondo de Población de Naciones Unidas (UNFPA). Dicho Seminario tuvo por objetivo hacer una revisión de la información en salud con enfoque étnico-racial, teniendo en cuenta los actuales desafíos que enfrentan los países de la región para la superación de la crisis sanitaria y el logro de una igualdad efectiva, acorde con los derechos individuales y colectivos de los pueblos indígenas y afrodescendientes.
