Oferta de bienes y servicios ambientales de la PYME en Chile: base de datos

Abstract

El presente documento es una base de datos donde se identifica y analiza la oferta de bienes y servicios ambientales en Chile, en particular en su contribución a la mayor sustentabilidad de las actividades de la pequeña y mediana empresa (pyme). La información fue obtenida de fuentes bibliográficas y la red Internet, así como de entrevistas directas a actores públicos y privados. La base de datos identifica a los actores relevantes en relación con dicha oferta de bienes y servicios ambientales, con énfasis en los sectores y municipios identificados en el estudio previo de CEPAL, Necesidades de bienes y servicios para el mejoramiento ambiental de la pyme en Chile. Identificación de factores críticos y diagnóstico del sector", que se debe entender como antecedente y complemento para este texto. Se evalúan el mercado local de bienes y servicios ambientales, así como el potencial para que las pyme puedan asumir en Chile como proveedores en los sectores seleccionados. Se concluye que se trata de un sector aún débil, cuantitativa y cualitativamente deficitario, pero con posibilidades de desarrollo en áreas específicas y algunas experiencias exitosas que se documentan. El estudio plantea una serie de recomendaciones generales para futura acción."
