Abstract

Esta publicación ilustra el potencial de las compensaciones en biodiversidad usando como caso de estudio el sector minero en la región Andina. Para ello, se revisó el estado actual de la diversidad biológica y el marco normativo en Argentina, Bolivia (Estado Plurinacional de), Chile, Colombia y Perú. De los países de estudio, Colombia, Perú y Chile contienen provisiones para la compensación de biodiversidad, mientras que Bolivia (Estado Plurinacional de) y Argentina se encuentran en estados iniciales de implementar normativa al respecto.
