Flujos financieros ilícitos en América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

El estudio de los flujos financieros ilícitos es un fenómeno que ha suscitado una preocupación creciente en la comunidad internacional, tomándose conciencia de la importancia de conocer y combatir este problema. Una de las vías para lograr una mayor movilización de recursos en pos de financiar el desarrollo, erradicar la pobreza y alcanzar los objetivos de la Agenda 2030, es a través del combate de estas corrientes que ocasionan grandes pérdidas en términos de los ingresos tributarios que se dejan de recaudar. En este documento se cuantifican y analizan estos flujos ilícitos en los países de América Latina y el Caribe como así también se identifican los sectores que generan las mayores corrientes en cada país con el fin de proporcionar la información necesaria para el diseño de políticas tendientes a reducir estas pérdidas tributarias.
