Abstract

Tradicionalmente, en los países en desarrollo los Programas de Empleo Temporal han consistido en contrataciones de corta duración en sectores intensivos en trabajo (fundamentalmente servicios para la comunidad o labores de limpieza, y construcción y mantenimiento de infraestructura física) dirigidas a personas de escasos recursos afectadas por crisis económicas y/o situaciones de emergencia. El presente documento pretende revisar y categorizar unas experiencias recientes en materia de PEPs en algunos países en desarrollo seleccionado y en especial en América Latina.
