Tendencia del empleo agropecuario en Guatemala

Abstract

En este estudio se esbozan las principales variables macroeconómicas para describir el entorno de la producción y el empleo agropecuario en Guatemala. Se analiza la institucionalidad pública y las políticas más importantes dedicadas al sector agropecuario, así como su complementariedad, continuidad y los recursos asignados para su implementación, en particular la política de desarrollo rural integral. Se aborda igualmente normativa e institucionalidad laboral, y el cumplimiento de la misma, particularmente con relación al salario mínimo, la protección por la seguridad social, la libertad de asociación y de negociación colectiva, entre otras; para concluir con una serie de recomendaciones que permitan mejorar el desempeño del sector y la calidad del empleo.
