El gasto en servicios de cuidado en los hogares uruguayos

Abstract

El presente informe se analiza el gasto en servicios de cuidado de los hogares uruguayos con el propósito de dimensionar uno de los componentes de la economía del cuidado con importantes implicancias para la desigualdad social y de género. En base a la información de la Encuesta de Gastos e Ingresos 2005- 06 del INE, se analiza el gasto en salud, educación, servicio doméstico, residenciales de ancianos y guarderías infantiles, según estratos de ingresos, composición del hogar, condición laboral de los integrantes del hogar, presencia de personas dependientes (niños y adultos mayores) y ubicación geográfica.
