Abstract

Este documento sintetiza los temas abordados en el primer seminario sobre el impacto de la delincuencia organizada en la economía de América Latina y el Caribe, realizado conjuntamente por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), la Fundación Friedrich Ebert (FES) y la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas contra la Droga y el Delito (UNODC), los días 23 y 24 de septiembre de 2025, en la sede de la CEPAL en Santiago. Se espera que los resultados aquí recogidos de ese diálogo multidisciplinario, centrado en el análisis del impacto de las economías criminales en las dinámicas económicas de América Latina y el Caribe, se traduzcan en insumos que contribuyan a formular políticas públicas con base empírica y un enfoque integral. Estas políticas articularían instrumentos económicos con otros instrumentos institucionales, de seguridad, inteligencia y tecnología, coordinados a escala local, nacional, regional y mundial, y superarían una mirada exclusivamente penal o de seguridad para enfrentar la delincuencia organizada, cuyas actividades trascienden fronteras.
