Las brechas estructurales de desarrollo en la provincia del Chaco: actualización y revisión

Abstract

En este documento se identifican y analizan las principales brechas estructurales de desarrollo de la provincia del Chaco en la Argentina. Para ello, se toma como base el enfoque metodológico de las brechas estructurales de desarrollo elaborado por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), adaptado al análisis subnacional y, en particular, a las provincias argentinas. Se presentan un conjunto de indicadores multidimensionales que ubican a la provincia del noreste argentino en el contexto nacional y regional, y se los analiza a la luz de claves interpretativas extraídas de entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a actores del territorio. En el documento se identifican también esfuerzos provinciales dirigidos al cierre de brechas estructurales de desarrollo, por ejemplo, en términos de infraestructura. Aun así, para mejorar los ingresos y la calidad de vida de la mayoría de la población se requieren esfuerzos adicionales públicos y privados a fin de contar con una matriz productiva más diversa y ampliar las escalas productivas en actividades económicas con gran potencial.
