Servicios profesionales con potencial exportador en la República Dominicana

Abstract

El mercado global de servicios profesionales está creciendo y cambiando, conforme se adapta a la nueva realidad tras la pandemia de COVID-19. En este contexto, en el presente documento se analiza cómo la amplia oferta de servicios legales, servicios de ingeniería y arquitectura, y servicios de contabilidad de la República Dominicana podría aprovechar esta dinámica demanda internacional. El conocimiento se revela como el factor más crítico para la prestación de los servicios profesionales, por lo que se requiere diversificar y sofisticar la oferta académica disponible a nivel de grado y posgrado. Otras políticas claves son aquellas dirigidas al fortalecimiento de los mecanismos de acreditación y regulación de las prácticas profesionales, la vinculación profesional con otros países y la identificación de mercados de exportación y oportunidades para la colocación de esta oferta de servicios, así como a un mayor uso de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones para generar nuevas oportunidades internacionales de negocios y prestación de servicios.
