Lineamientos para el fortalecimiento productivo en la provincia de Jujuy

Abstract

El propósito de este análisis, realizado de manera conjunta por autoridades nacionales de la Argentina y de la provincia de Jujuy, con la colaboración de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), es destacar y contextualizar las potencialidades y los lineamientos para el fortalecimiento productivo en la provincia de Jujuy, una de las provincias más pequeñas y geográficamente diversas de la Argentina. De las 18 actividades priorizadas por la provincia con capacidades acumuladas, al menos 8 se emplazan productivamente en la región de la Puna: cultivos andinos, ganado andino, minería metalífera, minería no metalífera, minería de litio, servicios mineros, turismo y energía solar. Entre las actividades que tienen su centro de desarrollo en la Quebrada se encuentran la vitivinicultura, los cultivos andinos, el turismo y la industria audiovisual. En la región de Valles, donde se localiza la capital de la provincia, se agregan a la tradicional producción tabacalera las actividades de cannabis medicinal e industrial, software y servicios informáticos, servicios mineros, frutícola, la industria audiovisual y, en menor medida, el turismo. Por último, en la región de las Yungas, a la actividad principal azucarera se suma la posibilidad de avanzar en un mayor desarrollo de las industrias forestal, del turismo, frutícola y del bioetanol.
