La experiencia de la Muestra Trimestral de Comercio Exterior de Servicios en Colombia

Abstract

En este documento se examina la evolución de la Muestra Trimestral de Comercio Exterior de Servicios en Colombia desde sus inicios en 2008, así como los registros administrativos que sirven para obtener los resultados del comercio exterior de servicios que publica el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE). Se analizan las instituciones que apoyaron la propuesta de mejorar las estadísticas de comercio exterior de servicios, los eslabones sustanciales del operativo estadístico y los demás elementos que permiten obtener la medición final. Además, se presenta la conciliación de los datos del DANE con los del Banco de la República, y se incluyen algunas conclusiones y recomendaciones para otros países de la región en relación con esta valiosa experiencia.
