Ecosistema productivo transfronterizo Tacna-Arica y Parinacota: Caracterización del territorio, las instituciones y la plataforma integrada de proyectos de innovación agropecuaria

Abstract

La Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre Grohmann (Perú) y la Universidad de Tarapacá (Chile) han trabajado desde 2019 en el proyecto “Ecosistema productivo transfronterizo Tacna-Arica y Parinacota”, que busca crear sinergias y alianzas que refuercen el proceso de integración de la macrorregión Tacna-Arica y Parinacota. Se trata de un esfuerzo multidimensional y multisectorial que cuenta con la participación de representantes de ministerios sectoriales, gobiernos regionales, empresas privadas y organizaciones de la sociedad civil de ambos lados de la frontera. Por primera vez es posible considerar el sector agrícola y rural de Tacna-Arica y Parinacota como un ecosistema agropecuario integrado, visibilizando las características de los territorios, las cadenas productivas y los sistemas institucionales, con sus diferencias y sus rasgos comunes. Una de las conclusiones de este análisis es que una mejor integración de las instituciones y de los otros actores del sistema de innovación puede generar mayores sinergias para acelerar el desarrollo de la agricultura y la agroindustria, así como de otros rubros y servicios relacionados.
