La transformación del trabajo y el empleo en la era de la inteligencia artificial: análisis, ejemplos e interrogantes

Abstract

Los recientes avances de la inteligencia artificial están dando lugar a debates e interrogantes de gran significado y trascendencia. ¿Hasta qué punto pueden las máquinas sustituir al hombre? ¿Cuántos puestos de trabajo destruirán y cuántos crearán? ¿Cómo se transformarán los puestos de trabajo, las competencias y las condiciones laborales con la implantación de la inteligencia artificial? ¿Puede esta revolución tecnológica suponer un mayor bienestar para los trabajadores? Las estimaciones actuales del impacto de la inteligencia artificial, excesivamente optimistas o, por el contrario, a menudo alarmistas, no ofrecen respuestas sólidas a preguntas que son legítimas. Los aspectos explorados en este estudio se sitúan entre estos dos extremos, y se enmarcan en un enfoque realista y pragmático al describir las condiciones (éticas, institucionales y organizativas) que favorecen una complementariedad inteligente y responsable entre humanos y máquinas.
