Abstract

En este documento se describen las principales transformaciones socioeconómicas que se produjeron en las áreas rurales de Panamá y que llevaron a hablar de una “nueva ruralidad”, y se presentan metodologías alternativas para su medición, con el objetivo de superar los enfoques dicotómicos tradicionales y medir las nuevas heterogeneidades y dinámicas territoriales en el país.
