Reflexiones sobre la cohesión social y sus desafíos en América Latina

Abstract

En esta contribución se alude a los desafíos que comporta la discusión sobre la cohesión social en el actual contexto latinoamericano y global, haciendo referencia a los documentos elaborados por Ana Sojo en esta temática, así como al trabajo previo desarrollado por la CEPAL, intentando ajustar, mejorar e innovar en las definiciones conceptuales y en los componentes analíticos que ayudan a pensar el tema de la cohesión social (Sojo, 2017a, 2017b y 2018). El texto a continuación se divide en cuatro partes. La primera aborda las grandes tendencias globales y el momento histórico actual. Luego se irá al tema de la cohesión social en particular y a su definición, se abordará la posición de América Latina en torno a este debate y, finalmente, se cerrará con preocupaciones para el futuro en el contexto latinoamericano.
