Abstract

Este estudio documenta y analiza algunos instrumentos ofrecidos por instituciones públicas y privadas para apoyar la innovación que mejora el potencial exportador de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) en seis países de Centroamérica (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Panamá) y República Dominicana. Se examinan los instrumentos que apoyan la certificación y observancia de normas y estándares de productos y procesos, la adaptación del producto a la demanda de los consumidores y la búsqueda de nuevos canales de distribución o comercialización.
