El potencial dinamizador del sector exportador dominicano: encadenamientos productivos, valor agregado y empleo

Abstract

El objetivo central de este documento es analizar el potencial dinamizador del sector exportador de la República Dominicana, en términos de su capacidad de desarrollar encadenamientos productivos en el resto de los sectores que conforman la economía nacional, generar valor agregado doméstico incorporado en sus exportaciones e inducir empleo de calidad asociado a dichas exportaciones. El principal instrumento para este análisis es la matriz de insumo-producto elaborada por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) para 2010, con base en los cuadros de oferta y utilización producidos por el Banco Central de la República Dominicana (BCRD).
