Abstract

El objetivo principal de esta publicación es documentar el estado de la práctica en la adaptación urbana al cambio climático en la Región de América Latina. Es un resumen de los tres talleres de la Red Regional de Aprendizaje que se estableció en el marco del proyecto ClimaAdaptaciónSantiago (CAS) con seis grandes ciudades de América Latina (Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Lima, México, São Paulo y Santiago de Chile). Pretende sintetizar informaciones respecto a las manifestaciones e impactos en estas ciudades de América Latina que participaron en la red y, sobre todo, la gobernabilidad en forma de acciones concretas. La publicación se basa en informaciones obtenidas por parte de los participantes de los tres talleres, pero incluye insumos científicos adicionales y reflexiones por parte de los editores. Toda esta información es un importante aporte para destacar distintos caminos que estas seis ciudades están desarrollando como respuesta al cambio climático. Con tal finalidad, esta publicación discute los distintos caminos con la idea de aprender de estos casos y junto, a lo anterior, busca también destacar ejemplos concretos.
