Características de los hogares con TIC en América Latina y el Caribe

Abstract

Este documento revisa la tenencia de las TIC en los hogares de la región de América Latina y el Caribe, así como factores socioeconómicos que impactan la disponibilidad de las TIC. La información utilizada para preparar este documento está contenida en el Banco de Datos de Encuestas de Hogares de la CEPAL (BADEHOG);, el cual tiene información sobre encuestas de hogares actualizada hasta 2005. Los países pueden tener información más actualizada que la que está allí disponible y la que ha sido presentada en este documento. Sin embargo, la misma puede ser considerada como una referencia para trabajos futuros sobre la tenencia de las TIC en los hogares de la región. Este ejercicio principalmente mide el impacto de algunas variables socioeconómicas con respecto al hogar y a nivel del jefe del hogar para tener acceso a la mayoría de los bienes y servicios de TIC.
