Las PYMES argentinas en el escenario post convertibilidad: políticas públicas, situación y perspectivas

Abstract

Durante el período 2003-2007, y en el marco de importantes transformaciones macroeconómicas, las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) argentinas experimentaron un buen desempeño. La creación de nuevas empresas, el empleo, la inversión y las exportaciones crecieron considerablemente, estimulados por diferentes impulsos entre los que cabe destacar el fuerte despegue de la actividad agrícola, la recuperación del crecimiento en el sector manufacturero e incluso algunos nichos propios que las pymes pudieron aprovechar.El presente trabajo procura, por un lado, sistematizar los rasgos centrales que caracterizan el desempeño de las PyMEs argentinas durante el período señalado. Y, por otro, analizar el marco de políticas públicas para el sector, sus impactos y los desafíos que presenta para profundizar el crecimiento de este tipo de empresas.
