La industria del software y los servicios informáticos: un sector de oportunidad para la autonomía económica de las mujeres latinoamericanas

Abstract

El propósito de esta investigación es entender la racionalidad en que se apoyan las políticas públicas y empresariales de promoción de la industria informática y en especial de SSI así como verificar si incorporan la igualdad de género y/o incentivan la participación de las mujeres. Asimismo, se propone determinar cómo se construye simbólicamente a este colectivo de las mujeres desde las empresas, qué problemáticas destacan ellas mismas y qué soluciones o recursos proponen, para superarlas y contrastar estos discursos e intervenciones con las experiencias, visiones y demandas de mujeres líderes en el sector SSI. Para ello, se relevaron y analizaron políticas, programas y buenas prácticas en Europa, para posteriormente compararlas con el grado de avance y las particularidades de estos instrumentos vigentes en América Latina y el Caribe, profundizando en los casos de Argentina, Costa Rica y Colombia.
