Quel avenir pour les consultations médicales à distance ?

Abstract

Grâce aux technologies de l’information et de la communication, il est désormais possible de consulter son médecinà distance, depuis son domicile ou tout autre lieu dédié. Ces consultations à distance se sont particulièrementdéveloppées depuis la crise du Covid-19 et il y a de fortes chances qu’elles deviennent une pratique commune denotre système de santé. Faut-il se réjouir de cette avancée numérique, porteuse de promesses en termes d’égalitéd’accès et de modernisation des soins de santé ?Ou au contraire, doit-on s’inquiéter et craindre une détériorationde la qualité des soins provoquée par la perte de contact en présentiel, voire une déshumanisation de la médecine ?Et quelle place doit-on laisser à l’avenir à ces téléconsultations dans le système de soins ?Au travers d’une revue dela littérature, ce policy brief tente d’apporter des éclairages à ces différentes questions.
