La prévention et la promotion de la santé

Abstract

Protéger la santé des citoyens est un enjeu majeur pour nos sociétés. Actuellement, nos systèmes de santé adoptent essentiellement une approche curative de la santé, tandis que l’approche préventive reste minoritaire. Pourtant, il semblerait que nous ayons fort à gagner à développer, en parallèle, une solide politique de prévention de la santé. Ce policy brief se penche sur les concepts de prévention et de promotion de la santé, sur leurs raisons d’être et tente d’explorer quelques-uns de leurs résultats mais aussi d’analyser la prévention et la promotion de la santé dans le cadre institutionnel belge.
