Economic Sustainable Development and Capital Market Perception

Abstract

Die vorliegende Dissertation untersucht in drei von einander unabhängigen Studien den Zusammenhang zwischen regulatorischen Änderungen bzw. potentiellen Selbstregierungen und die Auswirkungen auf die Aktienrendite und das Aktienrisiko betroffener Unternehmen. Dabei liegt der Fokus zum einen auf dem (erneuerbaren) Energie Sektor und zum anderen auf der Finanzindustrie. Anhand von Ereignisstudien und der Schätzung eines rollierenden Betafaktors (CAPM) können eindeutige Anzeichen dafür gefunden werden, dass die Kapitalmärkte sowohl in der Unternehmenswertermittlung als auch in der Risikowahrnehmung auf entsprechende Ankündigungen reagieren. Zudem lässt sich zeigen, dass positive Ankündigungen einen positiven und negative Ereignisse einen negativen Effekt herbeiführen. Anhand der Ergebnisse der drei Studien lässt sich ableiten, dass bei der Analyse von regulatorischen Aspekten eine kombinierte Betrachtung von Rendite- und Risikoeffekten zu berücksichtigen ist, da sonst nicht das gesamte Ausmaß an Veränderungen erfasst werden kann.
