KfW-Klimabarometer 2025: Klimaschutzinvestitionen der Unternehmen fallen real um knapp 8 % auf 80 Mrd. EUR – Rückgang getrieben von Großunternehmen

Abstract

Die Klimaschutzinvestitionen des deutschen Unternehmenssektors sind im Jahr 2024 um real knapp 8 % auf 80 Mrd. EUR gesunken. Das zeigt das KfW-Klimabarometer 2025. Der Rückgang der Investitionen ist auf die Großunternehmen zurückzuführen. Diese haben im Vorjahresvergleich ihre Klimaschutzinvestitionen inflationsbereinigt um 18,5 % deutlich reduziert. Die schwierige weltwirtschaftliche Entwicklung, steigender internationaler Wettbewerbsdruck sowie veränderte Prioritäten dürften das Klimaengagement der Großunternehmen gebremst haben. Der Mittelstand hat dagegen in der Gesamtschau seine Investitionen in den Klimaschutz im vergangenen Jahr ausgeweitet (+7,8 % real). Die Erhebung zeigt: die drängendsten Hemmnisse für Investitionen in Klimaschutz liegen für Unternehmen in wirtschaftlichen und finanziellen Aspekten sowie langen Genehmigungsverfahren begründet. Die Senkung der Strompreise ist der größte Wunsch der Unternehmen an die Politik zur Unterstützung von Klimaschutzinvestitionen.
