Abstract

Modern vehicles are increasingly geared towards trends in consumer electronics and are therefore more subject to the zeitgeist than ever before. This dependency and the high prices of new cars as well as the dynamics of electromobility are increasingly focusing on the aspect of value stability. As part of an interdisciplinary research network called the Center for Circular Vehicles, comprising 18 specialist areas from six faculties, new approaches are being developed at the Technical University of Darmstadt for a competitive transformation of the structures of the automotive industry that do justice to the megatrends of the circular economy and software-defined vehicles.
