Abstract

Le Protocole de Kyoto autorise les pays industrialisés à recourir au Mécanisme pour un Développement Propre pour satisfaire leurs obligations de réduction d’émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Ce mécanisme consiste à obtenir ces réductions au moyen de projets d’investissement dans les pays en développement, à condition qu’ils concourent à leur développement durable. Nous montrons que cet instrument trouve sa place dans la politique climatique belge, mais qu’il importe d’être attentif à ce qu’il contribue réellement au développement humain dans les pays hôtes.
