Abstract

En dépit de ses enjeux, la mobilité géographique des étudiants de l'enseignement supérieur reste un champ empirique relativement peu exploré. La question investie par la recherche concerne ici principale- ment le rôle du revenu dans le processus de mobilité. Les choix des localisations sont appréhendés dans la double perspective de mobilité de formation et de mobilité d'emploi. Un processus de double sélection combiné avec une fonction de gains permet d'analyser les relations entre les deux types de mobilité et d'étudier le statut des différentiels de revenus constatés. Le modèle est testé sur la population étudiante de l'enseignement supérieur français durant la période 1984-1987, à partir des données individuelles tirées d'une enquête nationale de cheminement réalisée par le Centre d'Étude et de Recherche sur l'Emploi et la Qualification.
