El efecto de la estancia postdoctoral en la productividad científica

Abstract

En este trabajo se estudia el efecto que tiene sobre la productividad científica, la realización de una estancia postdoctoral. En primer lugar, se presenta una revisión de la literatura sobre formación de investigadores. En segundo lugar, se estima un modelo basado en la Teoría de Capital Humano para explicar dicho efecto. Los resultados muestran que la productividad es debida tanto a la habilidad de los doctores como a la estancia realizada, si bien el primer efecto es del orden de siete veces mayor que el segundo. Por ello, se propone que la mejora del nivel de los programas de doctorado es un modo más efectivo de mejorar la productividad científica.
