Cuestiones de sociología y economía de la ciencia

Abstract

Se exponen los aspectos principales de la ciencia, considerada como una institución social, y se plantea la tesis de que dichos aspectos pueden ser explicados mediante las técnicas de análisis económico, suponiendo que los científicos son agentes nacionales cuyas decisiones conjuntas desembocan en una situación de equilibrio. Algunas alternativas radicales de la sociología actual de la ciencia son criticadas desde el punto de vista de la teoría económica de la ciencia.
